geoDefense Swarm

geoDefense Swarm takes all the dizzying vectorized visuals, vexing challenges and highly kinetic addictive gameplay from the original, and changes the equation – instead of defeating creeps along a pre-defined path, geoDefense Swarm challenges you to use your creativity, building mazes for the creeps to navigate across obstacle-laden open levels.

NEW FEATURES

- Classic 'Open Field' Tower Defense Gameplay
- 30 Levels, Each With its Own Unique Challenges
- One 'Endless' Level in Each Difficulty Group - the Creeps Keep Comin'!

With the ability to compete for the high score with friends on the leaderboards and exclusive Xbox LIVE achievements, this is a tower defense game like no other!

Quite a difficult but fun tower defense game. Does require a good amount of strategy and speed to win

I enjoy this game. I like tower defense games but this one makes it fun and good looking. The style makes it less hardware intensive then graphic heavy games. It gets the job done. Kudos guys!

Very well thought out tower defense game. The graphics are nice, and while they could be a little cleaner they're very colorful and enjoyable. The taunts when you lose each level make you want to get right back in there for more instead of quitting. Hard game to put down!

Easy levels are fun and manageable, the rest are hard as heck!

Easy mode is fun, but then it gets as hard as heck. No fun if you can't win. Gets boring quick if you're not willing to spend the time to be a ninja.

This is a fun diversion. The tower defense mehanics are solid and the graphics are good. $3 is too much though. I thought it was too hard at first but found that it was set on hardcore by default. Switched to normal and it was fine.

I prefer the original. This one goes from easy to extremely difficult with no in between, the intermediate content isn't very helpful at going into the difficult content

This game is fun on a bun. Think before you place anything and if it's still to hard there is a novice option in the the help and options section of the main menu. The game seems to start with that turned onto hardcore so switching that may alleviate the difficulty issue that people are talking about in the other reviews. The only real problem is that the game takes its time to teach you the basics and so far seems like it expects you to know that each level randomly adjusts its enemy behavior but I'm only on level four so maybe it does some explaining later on but that would only reinforce my earlier point. Other than all that this is theft at 99cents, just give the game a few try's before you decide to condemn it.

There are a lot of review saying 'too hard', but thus game's fatal flaw is not just difficulty or single solution puzzles (a big problem). The tower defense where you can setup the pathways sounds cool and all, but you typically can't afford to dodo and are limited to placing towers on hexgrid maps littered with mob healing /speeding/unusable/unusable to just you tiles. That in itself might not have been a wet towel on the game. The big problem is that mobs will attempt to reroute to avoid damage sources. On many maps. Thus results in placing a tower and simply having mops take one of several other potential gaps because you chose the wrong gaps/towers in your layout >repeat a few times till you find it, only to be faced with another set of forks with the same problem. If there was an option to get more creds per kill in exchange for more waves this game might. Be great, but it currently plays as if made by someone who never ver really played tower defense type game for enjoyment
